I was always comfortable in my own skin and I saw a documentary about naturism on TV where they went to Studland beach local to me. This got my interested and was curious to find out where this beach was and eventually I found it.
To start with I went there by myself after college and did get some attention for being young. Some of it misdirected. I still went and did make one or two friends. One was a lady who was older then me and we made friends and went to Russel Coats Museum together. She was a full on fan on a full body tan.
This was the beginning of naturism for me and then after some research found a local naturist swim in a sport centre and from there found lots more. There are events and clubs spread out all over the UK and some are easier to find then others. This is why I wanted to setup a website (freebodyculture.co.uk) to help promote it and help people find clubs that are local to them.
